It is an exciting time to be a part of First Baptist Academy’s championship athletic program! God has blessed our school and athletic program with great success, and our number one priority is to continue to honor and glorify Him through it all. Our focus at First Baptist Academy is to develop young men and women to be Christian servant leaders. We are thankful to have the opportunity to disciple them through athletics as part of that overall education process.

The FBA coaching staff is filled with extremely gifted men and women who are experts in their field, but most importantly are dedicated to FBA’s mission to “develop the next generation of servant leaders for the glory of God”. As a college-preparatory school, we believe preparation for college also applies to extracurricular activities. If an FBA student has a goal to play a sport at the next level, our coaches believe that guiding them through that process is a priority.

One of our defining characteristics at FBA is the large number of opportunities our students have to participate in various activities. Our students have the opportunity to take classes such as architecture, Christian servant leadership, and engineering, participate in band and choir, and compete in any of the 17 varsity sports and 12 middle school sports offered by FBA. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the number of activities they have to choose from. At FBA, we have seen all-state athletes compete at the state art and academic competitions, cheerleaders win a TAPPS state championship and a district volleyball match on the same day. Additionally, we frequently see straight A students compete in as many as six varsity sports in a school year. A unique quality that we have seen over the years in the FBA athletic program is the opportunity for a first-year athlete with no experience to make a significant impact as part of a team right alongside a Division I college prospect, with both students learning how to maximize their God-given talents academically, athletically, and most importantly, spiritually. Our desire at First Baptist Academy is that all of our coaches, fans, and athletes exemplify I Corinthians 10:31 that says “whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God”. Go Saints!
